Presented to you by:

As some of you may heard, Nightwish, Quasimodo, and I have all joined forces to create what we hope to be the biggest, most amazing fan made TR comic ever! Unfortunately, after much deliberation, we found it very difficult to stick with a story that the three of us all liked and were able to work with. This almost resulted in us scrapping the comic altogether, but thankfully, we have another alternative.
Being as the three of us are artists, and not writers, we are now open for writing auditions for our upcoming comic. We're looking for someone who not only has excellent writing skills, but also possesses the ability to create a captivating story in a first person perspective; comic book style. Moreover, someone who can properly script a comic page as well, which will make the job for us artists much easier.
Audition Rules
In order to filter through the many wonderful writers here, all auditions will be accepted in a short story format. Preferably around 1000 words in length. Portfolios of past writings may be linked as well, but is not a requirement.
The topic must be Tomb Raider related. Our goal for this comic is to recreate the classic feel of Tomb Raider of old, more specifically, as similar as the first three titles as possible, though TR4 and TR5 still fall within the classic scope as well.
As far as the submissions go, since the length of the stories are limited, you do not have to feel restricted to create an entire story with such a small amount of words. An introduction to a story would suffice just as well. What is most important is that you showcase your storytelling skills.
The auditions are open as of today: May 21, and will be open until June 6.

Judging
The judging panel consist of Nightwish, Quasimodo, and I. We will read all of the entries and deliberate amongst each other as to who truly captures what we are looking for the most, which consist of:
Recreating the Classic feel
As stated before, we want this comic to seem as if it came straight out of a classic (TR1-5) game. Something that reall portrays the story, theme, and feel of the Tomb Raider enviroment; moreover, also giving us a refreshing look at the way Lara used to be. This is quite possibly the most important part of the audition, we want to read a submission and feel as if we are inside a classic game. Definitely be mindful of this.
Strong Visual Descriptions
As Nightwish, Quasimodo, and I are the artists of this comic, we need to have a clear idea as to what we need to draw. The story should be told in a way that we visualize it perfectly in our minds, without having any mix up of what the environment, or Lara should look like. The story itself should sum this up in a way to where we can see it just through reading, but at the same time, we don't want to be bogged down and bored with overly bland details, either.
Professional Ability to Script a Page
Writing comics is much different than writing stories. Evrything has to be laid out in a way that the story mainly tells itself visually. Being as comics cannot, or at least should not, be cluttered with too much writing. What we're looking for is something action packed and detailed without too many words.
Above all else, we're looking for an adventure! So put on your thinking caps and submit those stories! We're very excited about what the future holds for our comic project, and are fully aware that we are going to have a very difficult decision on our hands choosing between all of you amazing writers here. Having that said, write on, we're ready to be wowed by your work!
