I felt like Lara was back to her best, It also showed me Lara as a person and her jouney to where she is now, In anniversary she was back in the tombs but it didnt help the franchise progress as it was just going back to the past. I dont think we should relive Lara's past so Legend kind of showed me where her future is. Thats why i loved it.

"Worst" would probably be TR2 for me. It was just such a different thing. Still had some fantastic moments in it though (I really like plunging the snowmobile off the cliff into the water) and I still enjoyed it. Revelations was the same.

*stares at it on pause at the current moment
FLIPPING AROUND WHILE UZIING MUTANTS THAT EXPLODE NEVER GETS OLD XD!!!! haha well I admit its easy for me to say i've only had it for four years but its just awesome i couldnever imagine not liking it and you have no idea how awful ps2underworld was if you hate TR1 more than it, ps2underworlsd just isn't on the same scale as TR1, and i'm sure even PClegend is a GOD compared ot it
my fave though would either by ps2 legend or TR4

rule I live by:if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing

TR1, TR2 and TRLR
My Least Favorites:
TRAoD and TRA
I would have said TR3 as well in my favorites if it wasn't so damn hard.

Game I liked the least: Legend. Nice graphics but too short and for some reason I found the controls to be a bit unresponsive; Lara's a bit too "floaty". Weird.

To me, every Tomb Raider are good. Everyone has it's pros and cons, but that is what makes every sigle title special.
My fav TR is TR2 because it was the first and all the factors are well balanced (level design, enemies, puzzles etc...)
For the first time I will not give names for best or worst, but I will give my opinion of the games in small sentences.
Tomb Raider
Excellent. In terms of level design, bosses, everything. However as I started with the second, I found the first very claustrophobic and controls "harder".
Tomb Raider 2: Dagger of Xian
Improved all the flaws of the first. I loved it, especially the final boss.
Tomb Raider 3: Adventures of Lara Croft
Amplified the positive aspects of TR2 (more weapons, vehicles and open levels), but all these aspects made the game boils down to four words - More of the same. I did not like the level design (very confusing).
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation
Tomb Raider back to the tombs. Excellent gameplay and level design. But when I was in the middle of the game I was sick of one thing - SAND! The whole game is in Egypt and for me, Lara Croft must travel the world. I didn't like the decision of erase the mansion croft.
Tomb Raider Chronicles
A good game. Very easy and accessible. Didn't like the save system, I prefer the system of TR 1/2/3 because you can choose you favourite level. Luckily for me, the DC version has a cheat so you can choose you favourite adventure
Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness
When I'm playing this game, I feel like I want to give a punch to the executive of Eidos. If the Core Design had another 6 months to develop this game, it would be one of the best in the series.
Tomb Raider: Legend
Excellent starting point for Crystal Dynamics. Excellent gameplay and story. The levels are short and easy. However I missed the level design of Core Design. The Spirit is not the same.
TR: Anniversary
I liked this game because it mixes the game mechanics used in both development teams. Crystal Dynamics took a machete and cut maybe 30% of the content of the original.
TR Underworld
Epic. But ... level design leaves much to be desired, they withdrew positive aspects of previous games. I loved the plot.
Sorry for the HUGE reply.

Best
TR2, TR3, TRLA, TRC
Worst
TRAoD, Legend and Underworld
Tomb Raider 1 is a bit of both. Tomb Raider 2 was one of my favourites, but was very combat orientated in the early-mid levels (but it was worth it to explore the Temple of Xian). Tomb Raider 3 is the one I've played the most, but is definitely one of the harder games, but it delivers a very well balanced mix of combat and exploration (even if the exploration and level design is confusing). Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation is much more focused on tombs again (which makes the title feel much more appropriate to the game again) and it's massive span of levels makes it a very fun game, however I never really like the graphics of it for some reason, I thought they were downgraded when I first played it. Chronicles is a nice little fun game to play when you're bored, but it's nothing of high class and definitely isn't the ONE YOU MUST BUY, that would be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ones. But it comes with the Level Editor (which I need to install soon). When I played the Angel of Darkness (at around the age of 6), I thought it wasn't too bad (although I could never kill Brother Obscura, until I started using the Internet). Then years later, I played it again and took into account how detailed the story was compared to other Tomb Raider games, I thought the attempt at a dark, compelling story was a great idea, but sadly AoD was rushed out before it could be fully developed (which sadly resulted in Core Design giving up the production of Tomb Raider games). Tomb Raider Legend was a nice, refreshing games when it came out, I beat it 100% with ease twice (on the PS2 and Xbox 360), but the game was incredibly short and far too easy for a Tomb Raider game. Anniversary was good (because it had more than 8 levels) as it brought back the original with re-vamped graphics and a twist in gameplay (the grappling hook), but suffered the same as Legend, it was too easy, but it did bring back the nostalgic feel of the original Tomb Raider. Finally, Underworld had some amazing graphics and locations and wasn't as easy as Legend (but not difficult), but had the same continuity as Legend and I beat the game in a day! I was hugely dissapointed in the inclusion of 8 levels, I thought they could have added more. (but I guess that's why they made DLC), I've only played Beneath the Ashes, which was good, but again a bit too easy to be considered as true Tomb Raider difficulty.
Sorry for the long reply, but I just wrote what I wanted to write.
