Hey, we were ALL beginners once, so don't get downhearted.
First of all, I will say THE MANUAL IS YOUR FRIEND!
Read it, build the tutorial level, study it in fact because that is the only way you'll really learn the ropes of the LE.
To play your level:
1) Save your project!
2) The go to File - Output Wad
3) In the Graphics - Wads folder you'll see lots of blahblah.TOM files. Click the .TOM file of the WAD you were using. (If you were using the tut1 WAD click TUT1.TOM
4) It should then go something like Wad successfully output or something like that.
5) Close the LE and open up TOM2PC (In the LE main folder)
6) Add your .TOM to the program and press BUILD ALL.
7) Wait until it is finished, it will tell you.
8) Then open up tomb4.exe and play your level!

That is what happens. You can only use ONE wad at a time, end of. If you want to use objects from different wads then I sugest you download WADMerger. This program allows you to copy objects from one wad to another so you can use the objects you want!
