Hey folks!
I am a Canadian <insert Canadian stereotype here> from the west coast; I am Vancouver Island folk. I have always known the Tomb Raider games, but truth be told, I am only getting through them now as I never had enough money to buy them when they first came out. In fact I am only at the Cistern in TR1! I have always loved them though, and I remember playing the bejesus out of demos 1 and 2 growing up. Later on, mom's boyfriend got a copy of the third one and chronicles (I've played the most into Chronicles).

I still have a couple of old PlayStation Magazine issues. One cheat book and one book talking all about Spyro 2 just before it came out (including an interview with Stewart Copeland -you know from the Police?- he did the music for Spyro 1 & 2), Lunar, and a Final Fantasy 8 walkthrough. What I find even more awesome is that I have a couple TR Ads in there! One for the Last Revelation, and one for gamespot, but with a huge bullet hole in the page and Lara staring out of it, and it says "In real life, Lara would blow the living $!@$% out of you. Real life sucks." If none of you have seen it, I might be able to scan it!

I am thrilled about TR: Anniversary (a little slow, I know)! I just transferred ten bucks into my Paypal to buy it. It's different when your computer is three years old :(. I played the demo which has floored me. It all reminds me of Myst III in the Voltaic age. The one thing that bothered me is that there was a cut scene for the T-Rex. When I played the first one, it just ran out, and I remember letting out a "Holy <insert expletive here>!!". Core did it much better than CD. Same with playing the TR2 demo where the tiger ran out. When I was little, that scared me plenty, but I think at almost 22, I may be able to handle it.

I am a musician, as well as an aspiring indie game developer. I do electronic music, as well as play bass. If you or somebody you know would like to get music done for a game, do let me know!

Oh and uh... Raid on!!

Hey! Welcome to our forums :) Thanks so much for introducing yourself. Always great to see new members, and a fellow Canadian at that ;)

I would love to see the scans for the ads you mentioned!

You know, it's good not to be up-to-date necessarily, because you won't have huge waiting times between games :) I found out about TR a little late so the first few games were right at my fingertips when I was ready to move on.

Thanks for the intro! Welcome to the froums!
The Tomb Raider games used to scare the crap out of me when I was younger too. Guess that's why the older games bring back so many memories!
I think I have an old Australian PlayStation magazine a when Chronicles come out and I'm sure it had a similar picture you mentioned. Just not sure where it is though.

Appreciate the warm welcome guys!
I will be able to scan the ads sometime soon, they aren't anything too special, but at the very least worth the nostalgia!

Katie- You are very well written! I am going through your fanfics right now! And unfortunately for my waiting times, I don't exactly jump the gun... By the time the first game is usually out, I'll wait literal years! (note that today was the day I finished TR1  )

Naids- Even today, I think it still has the power to wow! Also, St. Francis Folly still looks immense!

Tombraider13-
1. eh?
2. cool :)
3. It might be pluralized, I don't really know... It could even just be four letters :P
4. I'm working on it!
5. Enlighten yourself
Spoiler
or remain ignorantly blissful.
6. Boom
7. Cool stuff!
