First Tomb Raider trailer will be released June 2nd! Make sure to come back here to share your thoughts!

Edit: I'll be posting a video with the trailer and dissecting it, so keep watching for that!

Update: According to Geoff Keighley the Tomb Raider trailer has been made by Visual Works, not Crystal. (Kind of like the Game Informer cover that was really made by 2 other studios) - thoughts?

At last

Not sure what to think about CD getting another company to make it, although I suppose this must be fairly common? It makes me wonder if it'll contain any actual in-game footage; I hope so.

I've been looking around, and the official TR Blog on Tumblr has posted a couple of pics: DON'T LOOK IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS. (Not that these hint much anyway.

)

Looks as though it will be CGI animated, although I'm gonna wait until next week to find out.

I suspect there will be titchy little text in the trailer that will say 'NOT IN-GAME FOOTAGE'

So I'm suspecting we won't be hearing Lara say anything since they haven't announced they've found a voice actor yet. Could just all be instrumentals...what do you think? Only 2 more days....

BTW I know it's premiering on Spike at 10pm but GTTV also has a site so I'm curious how fast they'll put it up there. Anyone know? In the past I've always been given notice when I can download the trailer from Crystal but not this time...

I'm guessing so. I think that without the voice acting, hopefully the music and instrumentals they use in the trailer give it more suspense and mood.
Although I would like to hear Lara speaking in the trailer. :tongue:

We'll see Lara scrambling to her feet, all grimy with cuts and bruises. Standing, she gets a look at the place she has to endure, the deadly island stretching into the distance. She utters one word:

I bet you did! I'm so glad the trailer was posted straight away on YouTube. I was worried I wouldn't be able to watch it repeatedly! :tongue:

There is only one word to describe the trailer for me and that is AMAZING. Best Tomb Raider trailer that has been released out. I'm very impressed with the voice acting too. For me it suits a younger Lara. The CGI was just amazing :smile:

Wow, what a nice strong trailer! At first I thought the voice was just some narrator, I didn't even realize it was Lara. I don't know, not sure I like the voice. Might have to grow on me....but I do like that it's higher pitched. Suits the age/the new Lara. What do you guys think?

I'm really interested in seeing game play and how this is all going to work! The trailer looks great but the real juicy stuff is the game play so thankfully E3 is soon!

What does everyone else think of the trailer????
